Create a 30x15m playing area . Divide the field into three adjacent rectangular areas (5x30 m).Place 4 markers at a distance of 5 m from each other to form three small goals along one of the short sides of the field, one for each rectangle (as shown in the figure). At a 10 m distance from each goal and 15 m from the other short side create a 5x5 small square (1 VS 1 ZONE). Place 4 cones 5 m from each other along the other short side. Three players (defenders) are inside the 1 VS 1 ZONE. Three players – keepers- defend one goal each. The other players get divided into three groups with the same number and are placed in the starting points of each rectangle. The players beside the markers have the ball.
- One player per group starts carrying the ball towards the 1 VS 1 ZONE
- From inside the 1 VS 1 ZONE the three strikers face their direct opponent
- When in active defence the defender must prevent the forward from entering the 1 VS 1 ZONE
- If the striker beats the defender and enters the 1 VS 1 ZONE
- When inside the 1 VS 1 ZONE the striker has the aim of trying to score in the goal defended by the “goalkeeper”
- If the defender wins a tackle and recovers the ball from the striker the action ends immediately
- At the end of the exercise the forward takes over the defender’s place, the defender takes over the keeper’s place, the keeper recovers the ball and stands in line with his group
- Inside the SHOOTING ZONE the forward is allowed a maximum of two touches before scoring in the goal
- The goal is worth one point
- If the striker beats the defender with a nutmeg, he wins 2 points
- At the end of the exercise the player who scored most points wins the game.
- Give a maximum action time (max 20“)
- The defender performs a passive defence
- Pay attention to the right placement of the defender during the 1vs1
- The defender must try to block the spaces and gain time to contrast dribbling
- Encourage the striker to try different dribbling solutions
- Encourage the striker to perform the exercise at a rapid pace
- Create a second field with similar arrangement and place the other players.
