In the middle of a 20x20-meter/22x22-yard area, create a workstation with sides of 10 meters/11 yards, by placing four cones at the vertices. In the middle of each side create a mini goal about 2 meters/yards wide with colorful markers. Each goal must be a different color: so there will be four different goals. In front of two mini goals, opposite to each other and outside the perimeter of the square, place two mats about 3 meters/yards apart and two cones that will indicate the starting point of the players. In the picture, the cones and mats are placed in front of the yellow and blue gates. Two rows of four players each (red and white in the picture) go near the two starting cones. In the center of the square arrange three balls. The coach should keep a good supply of balls outside the perimeter.
- The first players in the two rows stand between their starting cone and the mat placed in front of them
- At the coach's signal they perform a forward roll
- After that, they quickly get up and run to the center of the square to win the ball that is nearest and in front of them. As they run towards the ball, the coach will call the direction in which they must kick their ball to try to score in the goals that are lateral to their position (orange and green goals in the picture). In the example, the coach calls the direction "RIGHT"
- The red player attempts to score a goal in the GREEN goal (kicks with the left foot), and the white player in the ORANGE goal (also kicks with the left foot). The point goes to whoever scores first
- Having kicked the two balls, a third one remains (1v1 ball in the picture). The two players compete for the third ball in a 1 v 1 duel and try to score in one of the four goals and specifically in the one of the color called by the coach ("Orange" in the example). This challenge awards one more point
- Comply with directions given by the coach in an attempt to score in the goals before the opponent, kicking with the correct foot
- Instead of performing the roll, place some low hurdles where players perform high knees
- For both the direction of the first kick and the color of the goal in which to score in the 1v1 challenge, instead of the voice call from the coach (auditory input), indicate the direction with the arms and the color of the goal by raising a marker of the same color as the goal (visual input)
- Have players perform the roll on the mats as correctly as possible (basic motor patterns)
- Stimulate children's mental processing and reaction skills with different stimuli (visual and auditory)
- Encourage competitiveness through the playful aspects
- Once they learn the sequence, increase the intensity and speed of execution
- Stimulate fantasy and dribbling with feints and changes of direction in the 1 v 1 duel
