Work on transitions, protection and ball possession |
Creating space, Width, Depth, Possession, Pressing, Passing, Intercepting, Losing your marker, Creating width and depth, Switching the attack, Ball possession, Pressing, Transitions |
- Players are placed one per side, making triangles, in a way that each player has two passing options, one short and the other long
- Players must always choose the best move to maintain ball possession
- Players must execute 5 passes between them, before being able to pass the ball towards the adjacent field and then start the transition phase
- The pass to change the sector must be done along the ground
- If 3 players with vest get to recover the ball, they must pass it to the other field and keep on possessing the ball as long as possible
- If the 5 players without vest lose the ball, they must follow players with vest towards the opposite field, recover the ball and go back to the field to keep on working on possessing the ball
- Players that lose the ball must perform an immediate pressing over the player that has the ball
- Start the 5vs2 situation and introduce the third player afterwards
- Change the dimensions of the pitch in order to work at a higher pace
- Beyond the initial objectives, penetration can also be worked
- If the dimensions of the pitch are increased, the exercise can have a high intensity, which allows players to work on conditional parameters
