Organization
Form a 20x20 meter square using the markers. Create 4 goals 2 meters wide in the middle of each side of the square using the cones (as shown in the figure). Divide the players into 3 teams (4 red, 4 white and 4 green). In the figure the players with the green vests, stay one each next to each small goal, while the red and white players, start the exercise inside the square. The coach has the ball.
Description
The game develops with possession 4 vs 4 inside the square, with the aim of passing into the small goals
- The game starts with the coach throwing the ball inside the playing area
- The team who wins the ball, starts with possession against the opposition
- The objective of the team with the ball is to make three consecutive passes before passing through the goal (ex in the figure)
- The point is valid only if the player behind the small goal controls the ball (ex in the figure)
Rules
- The team cannot score in the same goal in two consecutive times
- The team who wins the point, starts again with the ball
- After 5 minutes, the team that is losing replaces the players behind the small goals
- Maximum 3 touches allowed
Variations
- The team with the ball can score only passing through two fixed goals whilst defending the other two
- Reduce limit to 2 touches
- Play unlimited touches
- Add a nuetral player inside the square to create a power play for the team with possession

- Explain the importance of the movement without the ball according to the teammate's position
- Maintaining possession is very important to arrange efficient game schemes
- Conduct the whole exercise at a fast pace
- This exercise is useful to improve the technique of possession in the youth sector
