Within the playing area (15x15 meters) place cones and markers as shown in the picture. The distance between the starting cone and the first marker should be 5 meters. The diagonal distance between the remaining markers and cones must be 7 meters. Divide ten players in two teams, and place them in pairs near the starting cone.
- At the coach's signal, one of two players (white in the picture) runs towards the first marker, chased by their mate
- Once reached the marker, white player with a quick change of direction will have to choose towards which marker they should continue the race
- The blue player must continue to follow the white player
- By the next marker, white player will choose again the direction to take and will end their turn on one of the two cones placed diagonally, always chased by blue player
- At every round alternate the roles of the two players
- The chasing mate must always keep very close to the player who leads
- Each round consists of three consecutive sprints with changes of direction
- When two players end the course, the next pair can start it
- Players that end the course run back in line
- Useful drill to warm-up players both mentally and physically
- Perform the exercise at high speed
- The player who is following should be responsive to the teammate's decisions
