Create with markers two lines extending the penalty area from the back of the field to the middle of the field. We will then have a central playing area about 40 meters/44 yards wide (width of the penalty area) and 50 meters/55 yards long divided into three horizontal strips: the penalty area and the central strip of the field divided into two zones by a line of markers that we will call the midfield line. The initial arrangement will be as follows: goalkeeper P defends the goal, two defenders A and B (yellow players in the picture) stand outside the penalty area to the left and right of the goal. A forward C (white player in the picture) stands in the central strip (between the edge of the penalty area and the midfield line), two midfielders D and E (white players in the picture) stand in the third strip near the midfield line near the vertices of the area. The other players wait outside the field for the end of the action to start with their turn.
- As shown in the picture, the action starts with the goalkeeper playing the ball to one of the two defenders (A in the picture) who, after controlling it, performs a one-two with the forward C who gives the ball back to him (triangle)
- From here, the defender makes a short stretch running with the ball quickly and then passes it to one of the two players in the third strip; he can decide whether to play the ball to the deep midfielder in front of him with verticalization (D) or to change sides with a throw for the opposite opponent E (as in the picture)
- Before the ball is controlled by the receiving player (E in the picture), the defender A who passed it and the opposite defender B quickly move up beyond the midfield line to shorten the defensive line and not allow the forwards to gain space; the forward in the central zone C also moves accordingly to the position of the defenders' line so as not to remain in an offside position
- From here (in the third strip), the 3v2 situation begins with the aim for the forwards to score goals
- If defenders retrieve the ball before forwards cross the midfield line, forwards have a penalty; if they retrieve the ball in the lower zone, they must try to cross the midfield line running with the ball or with a vertical pass to a teammate
- Attackers' objective is to get to the shot on goal by unmarking movements and attacking depth
- Mandatory crossing of the midfield line for the two defenders before the ball reaches the two players in the third band
- Check for offsides
- Create two teams and reverse their positions at the end of the first set so that all players are working both attacking and defending
- The play from the goalkeeper to the defender who must open sideways with the body properly oriented to receive and play forward
- Following a quick run with the ball, a quick one-two is sought with the forward who then performs a support play on either side of the field
- After the transmission in depth (throw), the 3v2 situation starts with a tactical nature, with the initial objective of the defenders to shorten and limit the space to the forwards; from there it is necessary to be able to place the body properly in order to control both the ball and the opponents (in numerical superiority) not conceding depth and managing the action, trying to direct the opponents to the outside of the field (blind side) and then play a 1v1 duel
- The forwards should seek as much mobility as possible, the central striker should be able to receive the ball deep after short-long movement by lowering himself on the line of defenders to avoid offside; if the central space is blocked by the defenders, he will then try to lose the marker by opening wide to allow the midfielder to cut centrally between the defenders, with insertion without the ball. The central striker opening up will then have to attack the back of the last defender away from the ball in such a way as to give no reference points to the opponent
- The one with the ball must show personality in aiming decisively at the opponent
