Oriented control
Il controllo di palla orientato è un modo per tentare di superare l’avversario. Quando si riceve il passaggio, invece di fermare la palla, rallentando così la manovra, si cerca di portare il pallone già verso la direzione in cui si vuole andare. Se questo è preceduto da una finta, l'azione risulta ancora più efficace. Il controllo di palla orientato consente quindi di valutare la situazione di gioco in essere e di scegliere, attraverso un tocco solo, la direzione di partenza. Per eseguire un corretto controllo di palla orientato è necessario controllare il pallone con l'interno o l’esterno del piede dopo aver stabilito in quale direzione è più opportuno iniziare l'azione. È necessario effettuare un falso movimento (finta) per guadagnare spazio a discapito dell'avversario.
