Organization
Create a 30x10-meter rectangle with four cones. Divide the playing area into three zones with the markers. The two outer zones (finishing zones) measure 5x10 meters and the central zone is 20x10 meters. Along both outer 10-meter sides place two goals about 5-6 meters apart (as in the picture). Inside the central zone play a 3 v 3 situation.
Description
- A 3 v 3 ball possession is played within the central zone (20x10-meter zone)
- The team with the ball aims to execute a pass towards the finishing zone for a teammate insertion. The teammate who receives the ball inside the finishing zone must shoot with one ball touch inside one of the goals to score a point
- At the end of the series, the team that scored the most wins
Rules
- In order for the goal to be valid, the teammate who receives the ball must go into the finishing zone and not stand inside it before receiving the pass (offside position)
- Free ball touches
Variations
- Use a neutral player who plays with the team that has ball possession (a momentary 4v3 numerical superiority situation is created in favor of the attacking team)
Coaching Points
- Always guarantee two options to the teammate with the ball
- The player in possession of the ball, after the pass, must move
- Prefer forward passes, aimed at those located beyond the line of the ball
- Standing still must correspond to a precise tactical decision
- The two players without the ball may change position either vertically or horizontally
- Take care of the non-possession phase
