Description
This is a small-sided game with a lot of chances to score, but the main objective is to maintain ball possession. Players have to work hard to clear the space and after reaching a fixed number of consecutive passes, they can begin to create set-ups to score.
Although there are four goals, the main focus of the drill is on the passing skill and the ability of finding free space while quickly loosing the marker.
- Two teams start inside the square while the other one is arranged outside of it, with a player on each side
- The team with ball possession has to perform 10 consecutive passes before shooting at one of the 4 goals
- At the end of the series one of the inside teams exchanges position with the external team
- There is a total of 6 series; in this way each team plays outside the square two times and inside the square four times
Rules
- External players the square play as layoff with only one ball touch allowed
- External players can be involved many times, but their passes don't increase the counting to reach 10 passes
- A pass to the external players doesn't reset the counting

- 1 point goes to the team that performs 10 consecutive passes
- 2 points go to the team that, after 10 passes, scores a goal
Variations
- Reduce the number of ball touches allowed (for example, 2)
- External players, once they receive a pass, have to perform a throw in with the hands forcing players inside to receive and control an aerial pass
- After scoring into one goal, players are forced to score on the opposite side
- Reduce or increase the number of consecutive passes
