Summary | Secondary Objectives |
---|---|
Exercise involving four players to improve the pass timing with rapid exchanges |
Eye-breech coordination, Peripheral vision, Short pass, Play who you see, Bouncer, Triangle, Countermovement (check away) |
Inside the fixed area use the markers to form a triangle with sides 10 meters. Place another marker in the centre of the triangle. Players A, C, D stay near the corresponding markers. Players A and D start with the ball. Player B stays near the marker in the centre. Player E stays behind the teammate A, waiting for his turn.
Below, we provide the executing sequence:
- Player A passes the ball to the teammate B
- Player B gives the ball back to player A who comes forward to receive the pass back
- Player A makes a long pass to the teammate on the vertex without the ball (C in the figure). After passing player A, goes to the marker of player B
- Player B, after performing the pass back, turns on the opposite side of the pass done by player A, shaping to receive the short pass by the teammate D
- Player B, after receiving the ball, playing first time to teammate D who has come forward. Player B goes to the position where player D was
- Player D passes the ball to player E then follows the pass going behind him (player E) who starts again the exercise in the same way
The exercise is continuous by alternating, once to the left and once to the right the long pass. The players rotate their positions for the whole series.
- Add movement checking away and coming to before receiving the ball at every station
- Verify the intensity during the passing sequence
- Verify the synchronicityof players in rotating
- Encourage the players to keep an eye on both of the balls stimulating the peripheral vision
- Verify the precision in performing the flank play by the central player
- Verify the right execution of the give and go
